Often neurological disorders are misunderstood, and people may misinterpret what it means to have epilepsy. Watch this informative video to discover the disease's biology and the differences between epilepsy and other seizures.
Additional Notes:
What to do when someone has a seizure: First make the area safe, and do not try to move or touch the person, except if they have bit their tongue and could aspirate on blood, then turn to the side (temporary memory loss may occur)
Epilepsy can be difficult to find and diagnose; some medications do not work for certain people.
Seizure auras: A "warning" feeling people will have before a tonic conic seizure. Some people smell something or have other triggers.
It is relatively common to have a seizure during your lifetime, but is uncommon to have Epilepsy
